I decided out of the blue to googlefight soccer teams involved in UEFA competitions - the Intertoto Cup, the UEFA Cup and the Champions League. It made things marginally more interesting.
I started with the Intertoto Cup, which is like a qualifer for the UEFA Cup. The last three teams standing move on to the UEFA Cup. Basically, I just googlefought teams who actually played each other in this competition, and kept going with until I was left with three. I plan on doing the same with the UEFA Cup and Champions League along the way as well. And you, my lucky blog readers(if any exist) will get to see the results.
UEFA, which is the European Football Assosciation, for any that don’t know, draw the teams for the first three rounds of the Intertoto Cup. 21 pairs of teams play in the first round. In real life, these teams would play a “series” of two games. But it’s pointless to googlefight each match up twice. The 21 winners join 11 teams in the second round. The 16 second round winners join 8 more teams in the third round. For the semi-final and final, I used this randomizing program to draw the teams myself. I used the names of the teams as they are listed in the draw on UEFA’s website.

More exciting (or not) googlefighting action later on this week.
I suppose we should update this shit more often.

As you can see by my daily reads section here, it’s more like daily listens. Wikipedia, the greatest website ever(better than Google, even) has an MP3 blog list, that I’ve been going through blog by blog over the last few days. I’ve found a couple of gems, and I’m sure there are more on there.
To some people, music is something that’s just “there”, something just for background music.
Then there are those who only get their music from radio. That just doesn’t compute for me. I’ve recently gone as far as driving with my radio completely turned off if I’ve forgotten to bring a CD or two along.
My favourite genre when it comes to music is hip hop. But, I can’t just listen to one type of music, so I basically listen to everything. When people ask about my favourite music, I tell them “hip hop, and anything else that’s good.”

The B.U.M.s - Take a Look Around 1995
The S.T.O.P. Movement - Down With Us 2003
Fredwreck has had the dubious honors of working with a variety of high-profile rap acts who by the late ’90s were considerably past their prime, such as MC Eiht, KRS-One, Rappin’ 4-Tay, Frost and Master P. He assisted Everlast, Kurupt, Mr. Mike, Phife, Tash and Loon on solo ventures, before finally gaining some foothold in the upper class of producers with beats for Snoop Dogg, 213, Knoc-turn’al, Westside Connection and Cypress Hill. Eager to get heard, Fred doesn’t seem to mind the level of exposure, working with Obie Trice and Baby Bash one minute and with Defari and Daz Dillinger the next. In a time when many beats don’t sound like a particular region anymore, Fredwreck could almost be considered a pioneer of the all-around appealing production. Maybe the reason for this is his stint with the Wake Up Show, which has always made it a point to put where-ya-at before where-ya-from. Working with King Tech and Joe Quixx also lead to his first production gig on Oakland duo The B.U.M.s’ album “Lyfe ‘n’ Tyme.”

Yesterday was my birthday. It was cool. I worked at the station in Delaware. Right now, I’m at WCAU on the early morning shift. I can barely hold my eyes open. Peep COmmon’s “BE.” Excellent hip-hop album/cd.
There isn’t much to talk about. Well, there probably is but I’m so tired and exhausted that I can’t remember a dern thing. Birthday was good. I may buy a cd today. I’ve discovered a talent I don’t know how to promote. I’m pretty good at arranging (sequencing) songs to create a flow on a CD or IPod/mp3 player. IF people would pay me for doing that, that would be hot.
