stories.. i’ve got stories. [1]

i’ve got a wealth of wild stories to share. some more interesting than others. some funny. some not. depends on your perspective.
lost of ‘em i’ve kept to myself through the years. but i think the statute of limitations has expired on most of this stuff so why not tell some of ‘em?
many years ago, by now, i was visiting a friend of mine in the city of Chicago. (most of you know who him)
late spring. so it’s nice out but nice in that Midwestern, thank god it’s not winter anymore, kinda way. so we’re talking 50s. cold enough that plenty of people are still wearing winter jackets and what not.. but warm enough that the hoopers are out because there’s no snow on the blacktop.
there’s a park across the street from my friends house.. 3-4 city blocks long by 2-3 wide. there’s a youth community center, a nice park, 5 full length basketball courts, a road that runs through it to the community center.. it’s a place where lots of people congregate on a nice day.
STOP! HE’S STEALING! [1]
Closed Published by a cacophony of thought September 30th, 2005 in Uncategorized.every once in a while when flipping through channels i’ll come across one of the original episodes of COPS.
before the theme song. before the cops on film really realized that the show was going to be big-time one day.
basically, before police departments started turning the camera crews over to their cleanest, best, sharpest cops. in the days when they’d set camera crews loose with, apparently, the rogue elements of the dept.
my favorite, carlos knows, is when the police ride up on some unsuspecting dope walking down the street… bail out of the car.. club the guy down while the “suspect” screams “ahh!! what did i do! what did i do!!!”
followed by the famous line “YOU WERE ACTIN’ CRAZY BUDDY!”
couple more classics.
1) police are called. apparently three beer drinking men are sitting in a cul-de-sac near some apartment buildings. police roll up, camera fixated on the three individuals who are now sitting on a low wall that divides the cul-de-sac from the sidewalk. gung-ho Officer Friendly leaps from the car at a dead run and smashes one of the guys across the head with his flashlight. then proceeds to lay a beating on the guy while his friends stand back in awe. shocked.

Well it was always likely we were going to be knocked out tonight but we did actually look good and we did actually score.
Again the second half was less exciting as the first, I dont know why that is, by all accounts were supposed to be one of the fittest teams in the Premiership due to a lot of training but the knock on of that might be that they are being trained too hard.
Moyes is supposed to be a good motivator of his players, apparently known for giving the hairdryer treatment in the changing room when needed as well. Last season showed all of this to be true so the problem probably isnt there, why would the players not respond to him in the same way this year?
If we could keep up performances like tonights first half then wed never be losing to shite like Wigan.
maybe this makes me a bad person but i think she’s hot.
this pic in particular has some sexual overtones.. very nice.

Do you know who your children are playing baseball with?
Falk asked the driver to pull over at the entrance to Sing Sing, the prison. “The school used to bring the ball team here to play the inmates,” he said.

Now…
First we were told that we were going to Iraq to get rid of weaposns of mass destruction, then they switched that when they couldn’t find any WMD’s and said it was about democracy and taking Saddam down.
Does this ‘democracy’ include people being forceably removed from political conferences because you almost inaudibly say ‘nonsense’?
Yes it does apparently… Here’s the story.
Even without using the emotional heartstring pulling of pointing out that the person ejected was 82 years old it’s still a farce, but hey let’s just be worried about terrorists and live in fear! Just forget about the errosion of all our rights and freedoms in this false war on terrorism…
The family of Jean Charles de Menezes have been in the country today demanding justice over his murder.
Props to them and I hope they get the justice they and their murdered son deserve.
I fear they won’t though, again it goes into the era of fear we are living in.
bless having a successful career and being able to blow up like a balloon.

Let’s not lose sight of the facts people. Brett Favre is a legend. One of the all-time greats in the NFL.
I’ve had my fill of people calling in, writers writing, morons talking about how the Packers should bench Brett Favre.
The call is that he’s a different QB. That he’s lost it. That he doesn’t have the arm anymore. That he’s too distracted. That he’s forcing it too much.
This Brett Favre is the same guy we’ve all watched for 13 years. The very same guy. He admits that he needs to tone down his gun-slinging ways because this team just isn’t good enough to overcome the errors.
But make no mistakes this is still the same guy. He’s going to drive you nuts when the Packers lose.. and he’s going to thrill you when they win.
Packer fans are supposed to be “the most loyal” in the league. They fill the stadium win or lose. They cheer the team win or lose. They don’t boo.
Fuck that. The second they smell blood they’re no different than any other drunken morons. 0-3 for the first time in 17 years and they forget every good thing that’s happened.. all they can think about is throwing the Captain overboard.

Every once in a while I see or hear something that reminds me why I fell in love with hip-hop in the first place. Something so pure and exhilarating that it erases all the bitterness I feel while watching BET’s Rap Shitty or flipping through, uggh, the source. Last night was one of those occasions. Let me set the scene.
