Let’s cut the “hip-hop has gone worldwide and it’s about time y’all found out about it” speech and get right to it - we’re in Spain today. Apart from the obvious hip-hop epicenters Madrid and Barcelona, there’s another handful of cities like Zaragoza and Málaga that have kept heads bobbing in the country since the early nineties. But today, we’re going to turn to Sevilla in the dusty South, which is home to maybe the biggest talents that have made it out of the underground and now enjoy nationwide, among true connaisseurs (hint-hint) even international fame.
CunninLynguists have released their 3rd album ‘A Piece of strange’ and it’s a concept album… It doesn’t suck though (like most concept albums do) in fact the concept is barely noticable. Check out ‘What Is A Piece Of Strange‘ for an explaination…
Sick of having rubbish around the house? Then why not make a toy out of it? Toys From Trash shows you how.

email to ed:
“i have a really really really bad feeling about getting this camera.
went to the website to check the status, see when it would be delivered, etc.
punch in my order# and it spits back “unable to track status of order# (different than the # i punched in)” or some such. so i punch it in again. same message. i check my “cart” and see the camera is still sitting there. so now i’m thinking “well i never submitted the order in the first place”. i don’t want to accidentally order it twice so i call Customer Service.
click #2 to speak with a rep. tell the first guy my story, before i even wrap it up he transfers me to someone else. he asks what’s my question, i tell him, he transfers me w/o saying anything. get to the 3rd guy and he says “it must be a glitch on the system. i apologize, sir.”
i say “no problem i just want to make sure i get my camera”. by now the whole thing feels pretty shady to me.

MF Grimm has gone after MF Doom on a new track which I think is called Jordan Shoes.
Not sure what the beef is all about but Grimm seems pissed.
I doubt there will be a response from Doom.
Seems like everyone in Hip-Hop hates each other at the moment, well I suppose it helps sell records.
Oh and having the flu sucks ass…

People going through a divorce talk way too much
OK so it’s a traumatic time but shut up about it. Does everyone in an office have to know the full ins and outs of the whole process, what he’s doing, what he should have been doing, what he’s doing now but it’s too late?
I swear I’ve had a month of this bullshit every work day and it’s got to the point of total annoyance. Every conversation seems to trigger a conversation about it.
“Did you watch the football last night?”
“Yeah it was…”
“He doesn’t watch football, he used to leave alone so he could go to the rugby. See how badly he treated me?”
Seriously, this is someone trying to make out they are the victim in this when she’s shagged most of the local Police force and beyond. Always going on about her sexual misadventures outside of her marriage, yet somehow it’s all his fault that the marriage has ended.
People always expect the world to revolve around them
Everton 1 - Chelsea 1 (FA Cup 4th Round)

With all the odds against us at the moment, from lack of players due to suspension or injury and a manager apparently reluctant to buy players to plug the gaps, the mighty Toffees have managed to get a draw against Chelsea.
Buy the sound of radio commentary and also ‘pundits’ on the TV, we were a good match against a team that has appeared almost unstoppable this season.
It’s not the result I was expecting (to be honest I thought we’d beat them) but it’s good enough. Hopefully we’ll go to Stamford Bridge and steal a victory, with Cahill and Beattie hopefully back in contention to give us a bit more attacking options.
Here’s the full write up of the tie on the BBC website.
One word of advice for Moyes though, don’t let the last 2 results lull you into a false sense of security. BUY SOME PLAYERS BEFORE THE END OF THE TRANSFER WINDOW!

This site is probably old news (no pun) to many but its worth a look if youre at all interested in the history of Hip-Hop.
After much debate the Peace, Prosperity & Paper blog finally got their acts together to create a collective best albums of 2005 post. Go there, see what they think and leave a comment!
